Welcome to DAYAA’s Softball League! We are a non-profit recreational softball league that serves the Derry Area and surrounding communities. Our mission is to foster the physical and mental development of our youth. We offer a positive atmosphere to help our children perfect the game of softball from ages 6-14! We are dedicated to the teaching of the rules, techniques, and sportsman-like attitudes associated with the sport in our four divisions 8u, 10u, 12u, & 14u. 

Where:  DAYAA softball participates in the HAAA league (www.haaabs.com). This requires traveling to local towns for away games. Our girls play on their “home” field in two locations: “Field B” located at 1 Huston St, Derry and “Latimer Field” located at 2361 PA-981, New Alexandria.  This is also where practices will be held. 

What you will need: Bat, glove, batting helmet with a face shield, cleats, a face mask for fielding and softball/baseball pants. The league will provide socks and a jersey. 

Payment: $60 per player ($50 for each additional sibling playing baseball or softball; tball/tikes not included) Check, cash or credit card will be accepted. Check made payable to DAYAA with your child’s name on it.  Payment will be due at your child's tryout evaluation (March 2024 TBD). 

***Each family is required to volunteer in the concession stand twice during the spring season.  Each family is required to submit a $100 volunteer check.  This will be returned once you have fulfilled your volunteer requirements.  If your requirement is not met the check will be cashed at the end of the spring season***

***We will be having three fundraisers throughout the 2024 Spring season***

- Online Registration Monday January 15th - Monday February 19th

- 7yo-14yo (see chart below) - 6yo will be considered

- Players must register for their appropriate age division ONLY (the league will determine each players final division placement subsequent to player tryout evaluation)

- Open to all of Derry and surrounding communities

- Practices start the week of March 25th 

- Games start the week of April 22nd

- Regular season ends June 15th. Playoffs will begin June 18th and will end before or by July 4th.
